Arsenal win Community Shield on penalties after thrilling draw with Man City
Arsenal won the Community Shield on penalties after a thrilling 1-1 draw with Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners equalized in the 101st minute through Leandro Trossard, after Cole Palmer had given City the lead in the 73rd minute. The game went to penalties, and Arsenal converted all four of their spot kicks, while Kevin De Bruyne and Rodri missed for City.
It was a deserved victory for Arsenal, who were the better team for much of the game. They created more chances and had more possession, and they will be confident of having a good season ahead.

Arsenal win Community Shield: What next?
Arsenal and Manchester City will both be back in action in the Premier League next weekend. Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace, while City host Nottingham Forest.
The Community Shield is a traditional curtain-raiser to the Premier League season, and it was a fitting way for Arsenal to start their campaign. They will be hoping to build on this victory and challenge for the title this season.
